The tour departs Ayers Rock Resort for the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the late afternoon. You will be taken on a spectacular and informative guided tour of some of the sacred Aboriginal sites located at the base of Uluru. This base tour by bus will conclude at Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the new viewing area that affords unique views of both Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Here, your guide will take you to short walk and provide expert commentary about regional flora and fauna, and will be available to answer your questions. Also, your guide will provide aboriginal culture presentation during a guided walking tour of the area. You will relax in the lengthening shadows of Uluru, experiencing a totally new perspective of the rock at sunset.
Please note, those who wish to climb Uluru will have the opportunity to do so for approximately 2 hours instead of joining guided tour & viewing sunset. However, it should be noted that the climb is closed each year from 8am between December and February, and for the rest of the year is subject to regular closure due to weather conditions and other reasons.
At the conclusion of the tour, climbers and non-climbers will be reassembled prior to being returned to the Ayers Rock Resort.
