Transfer to Ayers Rock Resort
On arrival you will be met by your Japanese speaking guide. Enroute to Ayers Rock Resort your guide will provide helpful information on local weather conditions and resort facilities. On arrival at your hotel, your guide will assist with hotel check-in and provide a full tour briefing, optional touring details and resort dining information.
* We suggest you arrive at Ayers Rock Airport at least one hour prior to the tour departure time in order to complete the entire itineraries. Otherwise, you may be required to join the tour directly from the airport. And you may miss out some of the itineraries.

Kata Tjuta & Uluru Sunset Tour
Mid-afternoon we will depart Ayers Rock Resort and make our way to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy spectacular 360-degree views at the Kata Tjuta Dune Viewing Area. Your guide then takes you a guided walk into Walpa Gorge. Marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the Gorge. Learn of the domes’ formation and of the flora and fauna of the region. Thoughout the tour, your guide will also tell you about Anangu, the aboriginal people who are the traditional land owners of the area. You will learn about one of the oldest culture in the world. Late in the day, we watch the sunset over Uluru. Admire the ever-changing colours of the mighty monolith while enjoying a complimentary glass of Australian sparkling wine with delicious canapés.

Uluru Sunrise & Base Tour
VJ28 customers may be required to checkout of your hotel room prior to commencement of this morning’s touring.
Departing your hotel early this morning, we enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a warming cup of tea, coffee or green tea as you witness an Uluru sunrise. With the sun climbing in the morning sky, take the guided Mala Walk. During the Mala Walk you can learn the stories of the Mala (Rufous Hare Wallaby) and mythical ancestors that travelled to Uluru for a religious ceremony. Following the Mala Walk take the Kuniya Walk to view ancient cave paintings and visit Mutitjulu, a sacred waterhole, to learn the story of the Aboriginal “Kuniya Tjukurpa” (Python Dreaming). Visit the Uluru-Kata-Tjuta National Park Cultural Centre and learn more about Aboriginal culture or alternatively take a refreshment break at the Ininti café. There is also an opportunity here to purchase locally made Aboriginal arts & crafts.
Instead of joining the guided Mala and Kuniya walks and the Uluru-Kata-Tjuta National Park Cultural Centre, you may choose to climb Uluru (approximate 2.5 hours). This is subject to the climb being open.
We return to Ayers Rock Resort. VJ28 customers gets ready for your departure to Kings Canyon later on that day. While VJ29 customers enjoy the rest of day and the following morning to do any further independent sightseeing or shopping.

Ayers Rock Resort – Kings Canyon
Departing from Ayers Rock Resort in the afternoon, en route to Kings Canyon we will make a photo stop at Atila (Mt Conner) viewing spot. Then proceed to our exclusive Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge and settle into your accommodation. Your guide will assist with check-in. You may choose to stay at Kings Canyon Resort (room only) as an alternative.
Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge is exclusively located on Kings Creek Station, a fully operational cattle and camel station of 1800 square kilometres. Set in a typical Central Australian bush environment among the Desert Oak trees – a tree that is only found in this region of Central Australia, Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge is sure to provide you with a memorable Australian outback experience.
Day 3 (VJ28) / Day 4 (VJ25/29) – Sunday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Saturday
Rim Walk – Kings Canyon – Alice Springs
This morning we rise early and travel to Kings Canyon for the spectacular guided Rim Walk. Alternatively customers can choose to take the less strenuous Creek Walk. If you choose the approximate 3 hour Kings Canyon Rim Walk, you will be accompanied by your guide. If you choose to undertake the Creek Walk, you will do so unescorted at your own leisurely pace.
This afternoon we depart for Alice Springs travelling through some of the vast cattle properties of Central Australia, stopping at Kings Creek Station before arriving in the famous town of Alice Springs at approximately 6.30 p.m. Your guide will assist with check-in.
Day 4 (VJ28) / Day 5 (VJ29) – Sunday / Monday / Wednesday / Thursday
Trasnfer to Alice Springs Airport / Railway Station
You will be picked up approximate 2 hours prior to the flight or train departure. You will be transferred from your accommodation in Alice Springs to Alice Springs Airport for onward flight or to Alice Springs Railway Station to join The Ghan.
