Tropical 'Brissie'

Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland. With its population over 1,7 million, it is the most populous city of the state and the third largest city in Australia. The site of Brisbane is close to the Pacific Ocean, just beside the Brisbane River. The name of the city was chosen to honour Sir Thomas Brisbane who was Governor of New South Wales from 1821 to 1825.

Brisbane offers a tropical landscape as well as the cooling benefits of Brisbane River. Cruises enable to have a new view on the city and to admire fabulous houses. Botanic Gardens of Brisbane promise the discovery of exotic and gorgeous plants flourishing in a sub-tropical climate.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is extremely popular, as it enables to approach Australian wildlife. Holding a koala is definitely the most loved experience.

Moreton Bay, which is about 20 kilometres from Brisbane, is not to be missed. The bayside areas are beautiful and it is possible to feed wild dolphins at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort.

Brisbane
