Alice Springs (also called the Alice) is an Outback town in the Northern Territory of Australia. With a population of more than 26,000 people, it is the second most populated spot of the state. Alice Springs’ traditional inhabitants are called the Arrernte. They have lived in the area for more than 50,000 years. In Alice Springs, visitors have the possibility to discover their Art.

Situated in the hostile Outback, the Alice is also next to some of Australia’s great wonders. Visitors are particularly enthusiastic when going they go on a tour to Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon or the MacDonnell Ranges.

The famous Ghan (originally called The Afghan Express) is the 48-hour train that operates a journey of 2,979 kilometres on the Adelaide-Alice Springs-Darwin Central Australian Railway.
