The Blue Mountains of western Sydney is recognized as a World Heritage site for good reason: full of stunning vistas atop sheer rocky cliffs, pristine waterfalls perfect for canyoning, and bushwalks through lush rain forest-covered gorges, a sense of profound tranquility permeates the immense valley as the colors of staggering rock formations shift with the sunlight.
After a prompt hotel pick-up at 8am in our spacious Mercedes Tour Bus, we'll head to Featherdale Wildlife Park
to experience the world's largest collection of Aussie native mammals, birds, and reptiles. The newly launched Koala Sanctuary alone provides up close access and photo ops to around 40 koalas! Featherdale has a great café and souvenir shop on site as well.
At 11:30 we'll hit the trails to some incredible lookouts, including the spectacular Three Sisters at Echo Point. From there, choose a longer walk to actually touch the Three Sisters or visit Scenic World to view the valley by glass-bottomed cable car or the world's steepest railway!
By 1pm you'll be ready to relax over a delicious lunch at a top-rated restaurant in the lovely Leura Village. The shops, galleries, and gardens are not to be missed so we always allow some time for exploring the town.
We'll drop you back at your hotel around 4pm, or if you're not in a hurry, enjoy the late afternoon sun aboard the Circular Quay River Cruise instead.
Craig...was keenly aware of the local traffic, wildlife habits and location on the perfect photo shot as he navigated our activities. While driving to the sights, he spoke of the local customs and sights as we passed interesting landmarks... we captured a beautiful sunset over the Blue Mountains and upon arrival back in Sydney he provided another viewpoint of the harbour which allowed us to take more shots of the cityscape from a vantage point we would of never found on our own. This experience was well worth the money spent."
